Cosmic Fox Media was founded by Matthew Levine, who is closing in on a decade spent working in sports. He started off as a journalist before transitioning into the North American Soccer League's front office in 2014, where he handled creative responsibilities, ranging from social media to photography to video production.

He ran the day-to-day operations of the league's social media channels and managed the league’s website. He went on to develop key roles in content production, including photo shoots at league training sessions, games, and other media events.

He also led the charge of the league's growing video footprint, handling pre-production duties, such as coordinating with clients and the film crew as well as scouting locations around North America, while serving as the Field Producer and working closely with the Director of Photography. He ultimately ensured each project was completed in a timely and quality manner. With the NASL, his videos were shown across the Tri-State area on network television (MSG) as well as nationally (beIN SPORTS). He also worked as a photographer for News 12 Varsity.

Why Cosmic Fox Media?

Cosmic Fox Media is inspired by a Greek myth. Laelaps, a dog that caught everything it hunted, was sent after the Teumessian fox, which couldn’t be caught. Zeus, the king of the gods, realizing this paradox turned both animals into stone and eventually into constellations. Laelaps became Canis Major, while the Teumessian fox became Canis Minor. Canis Minor can be seen in the body of the fox in the Cosmic Fox Media logo.
